2.  The Communicator, when activated, automatically dials the Monitoring Center.

  It:

provides 2-way voice communication with a high output speaker and sensitive microphone

features an automatic battery backup rated for up to 30 hours

includes "line capture" capability of devices plugged into it

emits audible messages when activated

reports low battery backup condition

may be used to answer incoming phone calls

                   Component Features

1.  The Transmitter activates the medical alert system by pressing its button for 2 seconds.

  It:

should be worn at all times, making it readily available in the event of a fall

is waterproof and should be worn while bathing

is available in either pendant or wristband style

is sealed and requires no user maintenance

contains a battery rated for 4 to 5 years

has an unobstructed range of up to 400'

3.  The Monitoring Center receives the call from the communicator and dispatches help.

  It:

was established in 1992 and is UL certified for:

architectural and physical features

emergency power

operator training

has an average response time of 45 seconds from the activation of the system

is staffed by operators certified through Security Industry Association (SIA) training

has earned CSAA's Five Diamond Certification (less than 5% reach this level)
